"Human conversation is the most ancient and easiest way
to cultivate the conditions for change."

Turning to One Another
Forums Institute is committed to clarity in group communication. Underlying that mission is what we really do: We are a catalyst for dialogue. We facilitate change.
Today's most frequently heard words in communication are "conversation," "dialogue," and "civil discourse." Whatever you call it, it all comes down to one thing: communication. By applying the theory and practice of good communication skills, Forums Institute helps create dialogue that leads to change. Forums Institute:
- Uses its proprietary model Informed Contemplative Dialogue to facilitate dialogue
- Provides opportunities for policymakers at the state and community level to meet and discuss critical issues, always providing balanced information and a range of viewpoints for discussion
- Facilitates the development of shared services for municipalities
- Disseminates and communicates research findings helping to bridge the gap between research and policy and make research more accessible
- Fosters communities of influence through Policy Forums and Conversation Cafes
- Provides opportunities for groups and organizations to air diverse points of view, develop consensus and explore solutions through Conversations
- Offers safe-haven Policy Forums where participants meet on neutral ground and off the record
Forums Institute is a nonprofit organization formed in 1997 to administer the already thriving New Jersey Policy Forums on Health and Medical Care.
