Part II - 10 to 18 Years of Age - Safety Net?

Continues analysis of efforts to provide health insurance and access to health care for children and adolescents, against the backdrop of 10 million uninsured children across the country. Identifies specific adolescent health and mental health issues; including unintentional injury, violence, unintended pregnancy, addictions, sexual and physical abuse, homicide, suicide and sexually transmitted diseases. Presents delivery system and access issues for this age group and offers an overview of working models to improve the health status of adolescents, in New Jersey and other states. Includes a 3-page Appendix of the health and medical programs for children and adolescents in New Jersey, which are administered through the Departments of Health and Senior Services and Human Services.
